We see the outer life of the manager. All pleasantries and fake smiles. Putting on his best front for those he hates the most. But that inner life we only see as a peeping glimpse from the edge of his gleaming eyes. A dark and twisted creature, shameful to be seen. It clings to those edges like barnacles gripping the cliff’s edge. He gently whispers to himself, “Please don’t come out today.” But all it takes is one more nail, booming into the coffin. And the creature turns to rage. A blood-red tinge swims to the surface of the eyes. Rules don’t matter anymore. Tonight will be our last hurrah.
